Caesarea Phillipi

Today we visited Caesarea Phillipi which was a city in the north where the Greeks established a temple area devoted to worshipping their God's. These temples have been excavated. There are many different temples even one dedicated to the god of sheep bones. This area was dedicated to the god Pan which is the mythological figure of the half man and have horse. He was reported to jump out and scare people. Our word pan comes from the fear he would produce.
